From OMSA to OME+DRM?

I have a small server (PE T300) running SBS 2003 SP2 (32-bit) with OMSA.  I've been persuaded that DELL Repository Manager will make my life easier regarding DELL patch and firmware management.  I've installed DRM but I don't see any use in it.  I'm starting to gather that Open Manage Essentials (OME) is needed to make DRM actually worth the time and effort.

My OMSA version is 6.4.0.  Does this include OME (Essentials) or can it be added? Or should I remove it and install something else?  I've been through the user manual of DRM and I find it incomprehensible since I can't figure out how to get from building a repository to getting selected updates to my server.

I'm a newbie with this software, no question about it.  I have a Win7 Pro 64-bit client to run DRM on.  But I don't see how to get updates to my server without OME.  I tried building a SUS but it ran to 1.59 GB most of which was devoted to devices I do not (and never will) have.  That's not really a solution.

I'd be grateful for some guidance here.

Thanks,

BRPv
